Safety
As Safety Director for Triad, I am dedicated to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all of our employees, sub-contractors, and customers. Triad believes that safety is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone should have a safe attitude and practice safe behavior at all times. Triad shall follow practices that will safeguard employees, the public, and Triad’s company operations. We believe all accidents are preventable. Therefore, we will make every effort to prevent accidents while complying with all established safety and health laws and regulations.
Accidents, unsafe working conditions, and unsafe acts jeopardize both employees and Triad resources. Injuries and illnesses result in discomfort, inconvenience and possibly reduced income for the employee. Management is concerned about employee safety. Accordingly, Management will provide sufficient staffing, funds, time, and equipment so that employees can work safely and efficiently.
On Triad’s behalf, as Safety Director, I am committed to:
- Provide the resources, direction, and audits to integrate safety into the management system.
- Perform all pre-project planning tasks at the start of all new projects of jobs
- Establish and maintain a safety education and training program.
- Periodically conduct safety surveys, meetings, and inspections.
- Advise supervisors and employees in safety policies and procedures.
- Assure that all newly hired employees have been given a thorough orientation concerning Triad’s Safety Program.
- Coordinate with HR and maintain the company’s Drug-testing Program.
- Prepare and maintain safety records, analysis, evaluations, and reports to improve triad’s safety performance and comply with all government agencies, insurance carriers, and internal procedures.
- Work with management, supervisors, and employees to maintain new and ongoing safety programs and comply with recommendations provided by outside consultants, OSHA inspectors, and insurance companies.
- Make available all necessary PPE, job safety material, and first-aid equipment.
- Review all accidents with management, supervisors and/or employees and ensure that corrective action is taken immediately.
- File all workers’ compensation claims immediately and work with the worker’s compensation carrier to ensure proper medical treatment is provided to injured workers and the are returned to work as quickly as medically possible.
